카페산의 조경은 높은 산세와 패러글라이딩 활공장이 만들어내는 개방적인 풍경 속에서, 바람과 조망을 함께 경험할 수 있는 옥상 정원으로 계획되었다. 강한 바람과 건조한 환경, 얕은 토심 등 옥상 공간의 조건을 고려해, 척박한 환경에서도 안정적으로 생육할 수 있는 그라스류와 숙근초, 낮은 세덤류 위주로 식재를 구성하였다. 식재 공간은 돌담을 활용해 필요한 토심을 확보하였으며, 길게 이어지는 벤치는 콘크리트와 철제를 혼합한 구조로, 옥상의 하중 부담을 줄이면서도 조망과 휴식의 기능을 할 수 있도록 설계되었다.

The landscape of Cafe San was designed as a rooftop garden where visitors can experience wind and panoramic views within the open scenery created by the mountain terrain and paragliding launch site. Considering the rooftop conditions — strong winds, dry environments, and shallow soil depth — the planting focused on grasses, perennials, and low-growing sedum species capable of stable growth in harsh conditions. Stone retaining walls were used to secure the necessary soil depth for planting, while the long bench, composed of a hybrid concrete and steel structure, was designed to reduce rooftop load while functioning as a place for rest and viewing.
