넓은 논경지 속에 자리한 이 주택의 조경은, 건축이 주변 들판의 흐름 안으로 자연스럽게 스며들도록 계획되었다. 낮게 놓인 건축과 잔디, 완만한 마운딩은 논과 하늘이 이어지는 풍경을 부드럽게 연결한다. 식재는 조형적 완성보다 거주자의 생활과 취향을 담아낼 수 있는 여백에 집중했다. 건축주가 선호하는 수종을 직접 심고 가꿀 수 있도록 계획하였다.

The landscape of this house, set within the vast rice fields, was designed to allow the architecture to blend naturally into the flow of the surrounding plains rather than stand apart from them. The low horizontal building, lawns, and gentle mounding softly connect the scenery of the fields and sky. Rather than pursuing a highly composed aesthetic, the planting design focused on creating space for the resident’s lifestyle and personal preferences to emerge over time. The garden was planned to allow the client to personally plant and cultivate their preferred species.
