초기 공간은 비워진 타일 데크와 최소한의 화단만이 놓여 있던 단조로운 테라스였다. 이 비어 있는 외부 공간을 가족의 일상과 휴식이 자연스럽게 펼쳐지는 생활의 정원으로 만드는 것에 방향을 두었다.  그래서 테라스 중앙에는 야외 식사와 휴식을 위한 어닝을 설치해 계절과 날씨의 영향을 줄이면서도 외부 공간을 보다 적극적으로 사용할 수 있도록 했다. 주변에는 다양한 높이의 식재를 배치해 시선을 부드럽게 감싸고, 도심 속에서도 자연의 분위기를 느낄 수 있는 아늑한 환경을 만들었다. 밤이 되면 조명이 식물과 공간의 질감을 은은하게 드러내며 낮과는 또 다른 분위기를 형성한다. 밝게 비추기보다 필요한 곳에 절제된 빛을 배치해 가족이 편안하게 머물고 대화를 나눌 수 있는 저녁 풍경을 만들었다.

The terrace was originally a simple space consisting of an empty tiled deck and a few minimal planting beds. The design focused on transforming this underused outdoor area into a living garden where everyday family life and moments of relaxation could naturally unfold. At the center of the terrace, an awning was installed to support outdoor dining and leisure, allowing the space to be used more actively throughout the seasons and under varying weather conditions. Planting of different heights was arranged around the terrace to gently frame views and create a comfortable atmosphere where nature could be experienced even within an urban setting. As evening falls, carefully placed lighting softly reveals the textures of the plants and surrounding materials, creating a distinctly different atmosphere from the daytime. Rather than brightly illuminating the entire space, the lighting was intentionally restrained, providing a warm setting where family members can gather, relax, and enjoy quiet conversations. Through these interventions, the terrace was reimagined as a garden that extends daily life outdoors and enriches the relationship between home and nature.
